Hope On Wheels

Hyundai dealers and Hyundai Motor America wanted a way to gear up support for a cause that we feel passionate about: pediatric cancer research and treatment. We also wanted to give back to the communities in which we live and where do business. So we created Hyundai Hope On Wheels to do both..Hyundai joined the fight against pediatric cancer in 1998 through the efforts of Boston-area Hyundai dealers and their donations benefiting the Jimmy Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Since that time, Hyundai dealers have been Helping Kids Fight Cancer with corporate contributions of over $8 million to hospitals across the country.

Support for National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)

The mission of the NAACP is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all people and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination.
The NAACP Annual Convention is regarded as the event of the year for those engaged in civil rights advocacy and ensuring equality for all Americans. HMA has been a corporate supporter of the NAACP since 2002. During this time, we provided over $350,000 to the NAACP in donations and event sponsorship. For the past two years, we have been a corporate sponsor and provided an exhibit display at their Annual National Conference. In addition, HMA has sponsored the Fight for Freedom Fund Dinner held in Detroit, which is the largest sitdown dinner in the US with over 10,000 participants.

Soccer for Hope

Soccer for Hope (SFH) is a non-profit organization founded by Oliver Wyss, a professional soccer player and survivor of aplastic anemia. SFH has been driven by Oliver's goal to give back to the people who saved his life while raising awareness in the soccer community to the needs of children with life threatening diseases. SFH has a special focus on cancer research for children. Since 1999, Soccer for Hope has progressed from Oliver's vision of an annual local event in Southern California to an explosive charity program reaching thousands of people nationwide. Soccer for Hope receives funding through corporate sponsorship and participation fees for Soccer for Hope camps, clinics and Inspirational Walks.
In 2007, Hyundai will sponsor the Soccer for Hope Camp at the World Cup Center in Mission Viejo, CA from August 13 - 17, 2007 and the Soccer for Hope Inspiration Walk to be held on August 17, 2007.
